Jackson is our middle child, and the hardest kid I've met. He has a really sweet smile, and there are a few moments in the day where he's totally precious. For the most part thought, he's a handful. He totally loses his mind when one of 3 things happen.
1.He's too hungry,
2.I have to tell him no,
3.or when he has to go potty.
He started to lose his mind when we were getting ready to leave WalMart today. I had 4 kids with me (wich I usually don't do) and I thought it was going to be a successful trip. He flips out, makes me carry him, and kicks his shoes off. He won't tell me why he's having a meltdown until we're at the car. I told him that since he went potty at his Dad's work 25 minutes earlier he could hold it. I dropped off the cart and came back to a car full of screaming kids. Jack had peed all over the back seat of our van. I don't know what to do. Nothing works with this kid. No punishment or reward. I don't know where I went wrong, but it's like he comes up with something horrible and new every day. Mike said the other day, "Maybe if we have one more Jack won't feel like the middle child anymore." That's the first time he's ever volunteered another addition to our family. We laughed. We are keeping our fingers crossed that this is just a stage. Zeke had his hard stages. Jack is just more intense. RIGHT???
Seriously, I have never known a kid to be as destructive as Jackson! What is up with that kid?? Good thing he is just SO DANG CUTE!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Nicole, I would have probably lost it. Or laughed, depending on how the day was going.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe he is such a handful with that cute, innocent face of his. My sister is going thru the exact same things with her 3 year old boy. This too shall pass ;). Never go to WalMart again with 4 young ones - drop them off at my house!
ReplyDeleteNicole, it is called Karma, teeheehee. You might not have ever peed in the car, but I bet you would have if you were told not to. Hard to believe now, but you were such a bratty devil child, lol.
ReplyDeleteHopefully he'll get a kid just like him too. It's only fair.
