Nicholas' Party

For Nicholas' party we had a some of the family over. There were a couple families that couldn't come, but it was fun. We had set up a couple cardboard battleships in the backyard. Whatever team got the most canon balls into the other ship won. Nicholas kept throwing the canon balls out of his ship. I think that may have been cheating.

 Next up was the dart board. I put a piece of paper in each balloon. They either said an exercise to do or they had a ticket for a treat bag. Some of them had money in them. Everyone enjoyed that. Even the adults. Lauren had the best shot of the night, landing the dart in the counter top. Very impressive.

Nicholas was not sure about his cake. After a couple minutes he really hated it. I guess it was just his hands getting messy that he didn't like. He usually enjoys cake.

I had a poster board set up with pictures of Nicholas from the last year. They were arranged in a random order and the game was to put them into the right order. Lauren won! She got 7 right which totally blew everyone else out of the water. It was really hard. Especially if you guessed a month wrong, then all the ones after were wrong too.

Since it was family night Zeke gave us the lesson on the Sacrament. Grandma had to bribe him with a dollar because he had stage fright. He ended up doing it though.

It was so fun to have everyone over to celebrate our baby turning 1! I still can't believe how fast that year went. Love you little buddy.
