Seven Years

Seven years of being married,

of kisses goodbye and goodnight,

of bottles in the sink and little ones in our bed,

of laughing and dancing and singing in the kitchen,

of potty training and doing laundry and watching terrible movies.

Seven years of hugs and love,

of taking pictures and cleaning the house.

of brushing our teeth in the same bathroom,

of snoring and drooling and talking in our sleep,

of poopy diapers and little toes and baby giggles,

Seven years of mommy daddy dates,

of haircuts and new razors,

of trips to the store again and again,

of reading each others thoughts and minds and expressions and smiles,

of waking up next to each other and the kids.

Seven years today.
