Arizona for President's Day

Mike and I had all sorts of home improvement projects that we were planning to do on President's Day weekend. It is the first 3 day weekend he has had off in a long time. Instead of staying home and doing them we decided to take a very short trip to Arizona to see his brother Ryan and their family. It is always so much fun to be with them and their 5 boys. It was definitely too short of a trip. We won't get to see them until June when we all go camping on Carlsbad Beach together.

Sunday I ended up bursting my eardrum from a terrible infection. I had to go to an instacare where a very inept doctor prescribed me 2 prescriptions that weren't even antibiotics and had his nurse try to clear the wax out of my ears by force of water to see if that would help. He wasn't listening to me and I suffered until we were finally home on Tuesday and went to see my doctor. I knew something was wrong on Sunday when I was at the instacare, but I thought it was just that I wasn't feeling well. I need to trust my instincts more often. I know myself much better than a dr that I saw for less than 2 minutes. I couldn't believe how much drained out of my ear over the next 2 days. It was disgusting. Today is the first day that I haven't had to take 4 ibuprofen every 4 hours for pain and it has finally stopped draining. I am unable to hear out of it for the most part and that is supposed to last 3 to 4 weeks. I am ready for this freakin' winter to be over. The kids and I have never been so sick.
