Zeke is 9!

9 years ago today I walked into AF Hospital at 41 weeks pregnant with our first baby. I was at a ZERO and we anticipated a couple LONG days of labor. My Dr assumed that we wouldn't see his cute little face until Halloween and said I couldn't get an epidural until we were sure I would progress. It was kind of a long, painful day. Around 7:30 pm they broke my water and since I was at a 3 they let me get an epidural. We started to settle in for along night. I was pretty hungry. By 8:10 (less than an hour later) we were making crazy phone calls to the Dr. and Mike's family telling them to get there as fast as possible because the baby was on his way. Mike's family all showed up in their costumes because they were at a Halloween party in Highland. The Dr made it there just in time and at 8:36 pm Zeke was born.

Mike and I were both so young and a little terrified to have this little person come to us. We have done a lot of changing and learning as we go. It has been quite the adventure. We are so grateful for the love and patience that Zeke has shown us and we are so grateful to have him as our oldest. He is such a special kid.

Zeke's favorite things
The color purple
Writing and reading comics
Minecraft
Playing with his friends
Building things

As a side note: Nicholas now nods his head yes (he has been able to do "no" for quite some time) and says Jackson.
