I was raised in Oregon and most of my immediate family lives there. (Except for my oldest sister Madra). It takes 17 hours to get from Lehi Utah to Sutherlin Oregon. Population 7,000. We can only make the trip every so often, but it was good to go and see my niece Shayne graduate from Oakland high in a class of 36 kids. Oakland population: 750.
We took the kids to a duck pond in Roseburg (the closest town with a walmart) to feed all the ducks. It's something I did when I was little and is still very popular with the locals. A nice older man gave my kids bird food to feed them.
We had a picnic with a bunch of people that we don't get to see often enough. It was fun! Zeke made a new best friend when he was reunited with my sister's son Aaron. They are a year apart in age and love the same things.
Shayne the Graduate!
This is the first picture taken of my family since my wedding (9 years ago). Mike, myself, and our kids take up the bulk of our family now. lol. It was good to see everyone. We got to play with some amazing friends too. It's always a good trip when everyone gets home safe.
