This weekend was General Conference. It was so great and uplifting. It was especially nice because I haven't been to Church with baby yet. I was lacking some spiritualness. (is that a word?) All of the talks were so awesome and a ton were directed towards our family. It always seems that way doesn't it? I loved, loved, loved the talk about children. I guess everyone has that one child (Jack) that really tries our patience and kindness. While Tyler was serving his mission in Australia he spent some time with the Parson family. They have 3 older girls and are on a super-awesome vacation where they see everything they can in North America. One of their stops was my mother-in-laws house. Although we are pretty awesome, they came to go to Conference and not specifically to meet the Stokers. I can't believe how much we take for granted. It was the first, and probably last time they have ever seen a live Conference session. We are only 40 minutes away from that magnificent Conference Center and the Prophet. I really want to make it to at least one session next time. Anyways, they are a really fun and funny family. We had a blast playing and having dinner with them. They flew off to Chicago today to do a tour of the East coast. Including Nauvoo and (I begged them to take me) Harry Potter world. It was fun for our kids to meet people with different accents, crazy money, and some awesome treats. They gave Zeke this boomerang and he is in love with their oldest daughter. What a great weekend.
