Nicholas Ryan Stoker

Our baby boy was born yesterday. I ended up being induced even though I was so hoping to go on my own this time. It was only 3 days from my due date and I was pretty done. I was supposed to go in on Friday (my request because of Mike's school), but they bumped me to Saturday due to a full labor and delivery department. Mike took a mid-term online while we waited for things to get going in the morning. It was nice to keep him distracted for a while. He gets pretty nervous.

I was started at 8 am and had him at 12:54 p.m. It was my shortest labor and the Dr was at the hospital the whole time because it was Saturday. That was pretty convenient because the Dr is usually running to get here in time. Judy and Jana got to be here and Judy took some awesome pictures like always. 

He weighed 8 pounds and was 19 inches long. That seems to be our average. He is beautiful and healthy. We are so overwhelmed and grateful that it all went so well and that Nicholas and I are doing good. There are so many things that you worry about and that can go wrong that it is really a miracle that we have had such an easy time.

I am grateful to be sitting here with my new little baby and we are keeping some friends in our prayers that are unable to do that with their new little one yet.

These babies grow so fast. I am hoping to be able to remember every minute of it.
