On Tuesday our kitty was playing in our back yard and was attacked by another cat. I did not actually see the attack, but there is enough blood and hair in our yard for us to be sure it was there. She is all messed up on her right side. Most of the scratches are healing, but her eye is still not working correctly. The first day she couldn't see out of it at all. I think she has some of her sight back, but something looks to be detached. I am so upset with myself that I let her play outside. Just a couple minutes could have spared her all this pain. We are all very attached to our kitty and it breaks our heart to see her like this. Her hair has been died red from the peroxide treatments, and I don't think she will ever let Mike and I get her near water again. I dropper fed her some milk yesterday because she wouldn't eat. She did eat a little today, which is the first time since the attack. I hope that means she is starting to feel better. Poor Kitty.
Poor baby! I hope she feels better soon! Did you get her looked at?
ReplyDeleteI had my nurse friend give her a consult. not much we can do. she doesn't have an infection (got to love hydrogen peroxide) and her eye seems to be getting better every day. she started purring this morning so that is a good sign.
